When we first contacted Susan, we felt as if we were being interviewed as prospective adoptive parents of human babies. The process was quite thorough, and we understood the gravity of adopting one of her own Doberkids and appreciated the effort put into screening us. It took about a year for the anticipated litter, and Susan kept us fully in the loop with videos and photo updates throughout the entire process. Since we had visited with the proud mama earlier, we were as excited as new parents ourselves. Susan prepared us for the arrival of our bundle of joy, ensuring that we had all the proper supplies and knowledge for ear taping and care, and we felt exceedingly ready for bringing our boy home. During an emergency, my first call from the vet’s office was to Susan for confirmation of treatment, and she was immediately available to assist. Whenever we had any questions or needed advice, Susan was always there to answer the phone or email. It was no surprise that when we decided on our second “baby,” we immediately called Susan, who was just as wonderful the second time around! We have two amazing, beautiful, and well-tempered dogs, largely attributed to the fabulous breeding program and loving care given to them from birth until delivery to us.
